Marilyn has been in the staffing industry in the city of Winnipeg for over 35 years. She is a Registered Professional Recruiter. Her professional service appointments include serving as a member of the Board of Directors of the Manitoba Business Magazine, The Winnipeg Chamber of Commerce, and The Winnipeg Convention Centre Corporation. Darlene Johnson, Permanent Placement Specialist
Darlene comes to Houston Recruiting with 7 years experience in the HR field. After working in Toronto for many years in Telecommunications and Advertising focusing on client relationships and customer service, Darlene returned to her hometown of Winnipeg. Having been a frequent client of recruitment firms, Darlene has a unique perspective on clients’ needs and the passion to find a solid fit between client and candidate. She is adept at dealing with business professionals at all levels. Presently, Darlene is pursuing her HR Diploma at the University of Winnipeg and is a member of the Human Resources Management Association of Manitoba. Previously Darlene served as a board member for the Kiwanis Club of Casa Loma Board of Directors, the Casa Loma Board of Trustees and The Kim Phuc Foundation International and is now involved as a volunteer with IRCOM and Habitat for Humanity making a difference in her community. Mira Lecker, Temporary Staffing Specialist
Mira is the Temporary Staffing Specialist at Houston. She recruits, evaluates and assigns all temporary staff to our clients who may require additional help to fill positions due to maternity leaves, vacation, special projects or an excessive work load. Mira deals in administrative, clerical, accounting, data entry, reception, skilled trades and marketing assignments. Mira joined Houston to better utilize her HR Diploma and she also has a Bachelor of Arts (Sociology) both from the University of Manitoba. Her previous role encompassed initiating and building client relationships for the purpose of fundraising for an independent charitable organization.
