Project Manager / Estimator – Commercial Construction
Location – Winnipeg, Manitoba
Our client is ready to add another Project Manager / Estimator to their thriving
commercial construction business. They want the whole package wrapped into one
person, but they are willing to pay top dollar for the right candidate! Here are the
details a candidate must be able to demonstrate to be considered:
• Highly effective negotiation, conflict resolution skills
• Outstanding communication skills in ENGLISH
• Complete understanding of the bid process, including take-offs and closing
procedures
• Ability to calculate labour and equipment costs
• Ability to read and understand construction drawings, purchase orders and
contracts
• High sense of urgency, while maintaining accuracy
• A minimum of 10 years previous LOCAL market construction experience
• A valid drivers’ license
RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Do commercial site visits; understand and evaluate tender documents and
drawings; visualize the work entailed; and prepare a detailed plan to execute
the work in an efficient manner
• Prepare schedules and track progress and establish working relationships
with clients, subcontractors and employees
• Generally, manage project(s) from start to finish
